On 20th of August 2010, there was a phone call at 7.00 am from Mr.SB Misra. I off course had gone for swimming. I promptly called back, and Misraji said that he is visiting Sandnya Srushti campus as per my advise at 10.00 am along with three of his directors. Mr SB Misra is the MD of Minex Metallurgical co. They have three factories in Nagpur MIDC and they have a turnover of more than 250 crores, as I was told. Minex is our corporate donor since more than ten years now. Not only that, there employees are also our donors. Misraji had previously visited Sandnya Srushti, but that way back and we had just shifted to this new campus. Thus, when this time he entered in the campus, his first reaction was, " Mr. Deshpande, it is a ashram and nothing less". It is indeed a compliment to us. Misraji and his colleagues arrived at dot 10.00 am. and was there through prayer and than in the class rooms. They were with us for about two hours and needless to say that, all of them were throughly impressed not only with the infrastructure and cleanliness & tidiness but was aghast to understand the gravity of the problem of mentally challenged and there families. Misraji repeatedly said that, he never thought that working for mentally disabled is so challenging and complex as well. He accepted that, whatever way he is supporting SSS is not certainly enough and he promised to do lot more in near future.
Misraji is a through human being and is humble as ever.
